PowerFlakes or SnowFlux?

MindComet would like to wish all of our client partners, friends and family a Happy Holidays. Since we're based in Florida we don't get a chance to see snow much. By "much" we mean "ever". We decided we'd make our own and do so using our own logo:

RockStartup #2

Apparently people have been having a tough time finding piece number two of the RockStartp puzzle from our friends over at PayPerPost. They hooked us up with an extra copy of the piece.

Who Wants an iPod?

One of our clients ran a contest where you could win one of eight video iPods. Last week they got delivered to my desk. Quite an impressive sight, I must say. And from what I hear, purchasing them at the local Apple store made quite a stir.

"Eight?!" the resident Apple expert incredulously asked my fellow MindCometeer. She nodded her head. "We need eight," he whispered to his coworker, and off he scuttled to the stockroom.

Now, all eight of these iPods need to be loaded up with videos from our client, and I've been selected for this dubious task. As any iPod owner knows, Apple loves to hermetically seal the hell outta these little suckers. I'll need to use latex gloves and an exacto knife to unpack them, keeping everything in as pristine a condition as possible. (Cue the Mission Impossible theme now) Wish me luck.

Keep On Truckin’, Missy!

Our lovely teammate and her tricked out rental "car".
It fits her perfectly, no? wink Alas, it was returned "immediately" - but not before she was subjected to photos. In fact, these photos are the last of her adventures with "big red."

She looks fearless, sure...but she needed an army to help her back that thing out of the parking lot! wink

Crashed…

Saturday Night, the MindComet crew put on their fanciest outfits and gathered at a swanky hotel to celebrate the holidays. We were greeted with appetizers and plenty of adult merriment. We all got settled in and then we were served a four course meal and a dessert buffet. The food was fantastic.

Did I mention there was plenty of adult merriment?

After the gift exchange, awards ceremony and the annual raffle, the party really got started on the dance floor. The music was loud and with toes tappin' the dance floor began to fill.

MindComet is growing, but we are still at a size that we can recognize each other. So who were these six strangers that cautiously slipped in the door virtually unnoticed? We might not have even realized until two of the strangers brazenly made their way to the dance floor and started to strut their stuff.

We had been crashed! These people had no shame! They spent some time trying to convince the others in their group to join them on the floor. After all there is safety in numbers. But to no avail, the audacious two were left to cut a rug on their own

As the night began to wind down, some of us headed home. However, the crashers continued to dance the night away. Yeah, the MindComet crew is just that fun.
