Warming Up for Karaoke Tonight!

Tonight is the big night - our first ever Karaoke4Cancer event is being held downtown at Latitudes from 6 to 10.

We are raising money to go directly to the American Cancer Society - it's a $10 cover, which includes 1 free drink.

I'm definitely an amateur singer, but I usually manage to belt out at least one tune. It's usually 'These Boots Were Made for Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra.

Watch a video of some of the MindComet and PayPerPost team members out at our last karaoke social event.

I hope to see you there - it's a great cause and one close to my heart. In my short time at MindComet I've known 3 fellow team members diagnosed with cancer at a very young age and I look forward to supporting them through our event tonight!

Opening Day!

OK - so we know opening day has come and gone for MLB but it is opening day for MindComet coed softball. You heard it right, we've got Account Managers, IT gurus, Creative Developers to Accountants all coming together to play some ball. Tonight we are up against the Cougars and they're not going to know what hit em'. Batter up!

Karaoke 4 Cancer

We will be raising our glasses tomorrow and singing a few tunes with PayPerPost to benefit the American Cancer Society for an event that has been a long time in the making, Karaoke 4 Cancer. For all you locals, we'll be in downtown Orlando at Latitudes on 33 West Church Street from 6-10pm. Cover is $10 which includes one free drink. Come join us as we karaoke under the stars with all proceeds going to fund cancer research. If you can make it and would like to donate, you can do so online on our website.

Is it June 29th Yet?

We are all a little eager about the iPhone release so we have been killing some time by parting ways with our old phones.

Others are getting involved now too, check out WhatGoodIsYourOldPhone.com to watch users creatively part ways with their old phones.

Turbooooooo!

So I've had my car for about five years now, and I'm proud of that. It seems like an eternity to me, and I find it hard to see myself in anything else. I was even hoping to see it hit 200k (and as beautiful as ever) in the next year or so.

And what could ruin that?

Turbooooo!

So the story goes... I wasn't even looking for a car. I just happened to be browsing my old forums and I ran into an immaculately kept car that just happens to be the exact same year and model as my own, but with 1/3rd less mileage, and about two times as much horsepower (not to mention other goodies)!

The only issue is... it's in Louisiana! A few days have since passed, I've counted my pennies (including my Discover Card rewards) and I have just enough to buy it and a bus ticket! So expect a plow either about my awful experience on a 16 hour bus ride or a wonderful experience boosting my way back to Florida!

Pet Peeve of the Day

It makes me crazy when the cashier at the grocery store makes comments about my purchases.

You are the conduit for me to complete my purchase. By all means let's exchange pleasantries, but refrain from making comments or criticizing what I am purchasing to eat. Just ring it up and tell me how much I need to pay.

Coincidence? I Think Not...

After another play-off disappointment, the Orlando Magic said good-bye to Head Coach Brian Hill. So there was big news last week in Orlando. The Magic extended an offer to the University of Florida's Billy Donovan.

On Friday, he signed a contract. Yay! The National Championship Title holder coach was coming to Orlando. But then, something happened. Donovan, changed his mind.

Could it be the Billy found out he wasn't going to be as close to MindComet as he thought?

Maybe I made the wrong choice...

We are in the process of moving our offices, currently located directly across the street from the Orlando Magic's World-Class Training Facility.

Maybe when he finds out we'll only be a few miles down the road, Billy's commitment to Orlando will be back in full force.

WooooHooooo!
